I'm a jeweler and actually have this in my house. My mom bought it for me a few years ago after I had surgery and had to stay home. It does a fair job (maybe a "3"), but that's coming from a professional perspective. For the average consumer, I think it's wonderful, especially because of the steamer. You won't find that with any other home jewelry cleaner and that aspect is truly the defining element.
