I wear it around my neck under a shirt when I go running at night and the blade stays secure in its case. Perfect for self defense once you put your index finger in the hole you don't have to worry about losing your knife in combat.

I got this knife to take with me in the mornings when I go to walk. Since I carry a flashlight in one hand I didn't want to be carrying a knife in the other looking like a maniac. Anyway its a solid knife, sharp and simple and it will get the job done for sure if you had to use it for self defense. All in all its a great deal for a great knife!
