I purchased this item for a gift,(and cannot therefore review it specifically), but have owned the same model for many years. It is still going strong, and has many visitors daily. The wide cage is proof against grackles' beaks, and provides an excellent haven for small birds. Cardinals, blue jays and other large birds, as well as grackles, feed from the bottom tray. My only suggested improvement would be rubber or plastic covers for the metal perches, for days of freezing rain. (We use some saved from an old feeder).
