I have only used the heater for a month, but so far it is wonderful. The birds and the squirrels enjoy the benefits of year round bathing and drinking. Bath is easy to clean. You do need to add gravel or sand to the pedestal for support. I also secured mine with a bungee cord due to the fact we have frequent high winds.

It is very sturdy, the assembly is extremely easy and quick! The basin simply screws onto the pedestal, no tools required. The birds love the depth of the basin. It is very attractive in the flower bed. I haven't used the heater yet but as well as this product is made I have no doubt it will do just fine.
