I keep extras of these bee guards. I had such a problem with swarms of bees and figured out a way to use these guards on a couple of small one-port 3 oz. tube feeders. The bees swarmed and kept monopolizing the single port and drinking up the nectar faster than the hummies. Now the bee guards keep the bees out. I use these guards as replacements on the Perky Pet feeders and on a couple older feeders that don't have bee guards. Some feeders claim to be bee-proof but nothing works as well as these guards to keep them completely out. I also use the Perky Pet AntGuard along with the bee guards to completely repell the bees without killing them. The bee guards only fit certain Perky Pet feeders, but I'm handy at modifying them to fit almost all my older feeders too. Perky Pet products keep their bright colors for a long time even in direct daily sunlight so my yellow bee guards don't need frequent replacing. Just like having a supply on hand.
